Hiring, Training, and Retention – What is the problem? According to an INC. Magazine study, 37% of people quit their current job due to lack of proper or poorly delivered training. To bring a new employee on board and then training them by demonstrating how a quality part or process is completed can be time consuming using traditional methods. In terms of the effectiveness of on-the-job training, just “telling and showing” or “hearing and watching” something online and answering a quiz is often not enough. Some Lean organizations try to use Standard Work as a means of explaining how a quality job is completed to specifications. While Standard Work provides the document for examining a process compared to the ideal state, it falls short of teaching people how to train others quickly, safely, and conscientiously.  The only proven method of training that has been successful for OVER 75 years, is Training Within Industry – Job Instruction!

The value of classroom or workshop activities depends on what thinking patterns people are practicing when they engage in them after the workshop. C3 instructors and coaches are TWI-Institute Certified Trainers.  We use the proven format of a FUN, 2-hour per day, Monday-Friday hands-on training experience.  Your Employees will learn the skill of Job Instruction and leave the class with the tools and methods to train other Employees, immediately, on your product and job tasks!  But knowledge does not equal skill.  Therefore, if the TWI-JI + Coaching is selected, our TWI-Institute Certified Trainers can verify that you can effectively and efficiently train others, AND become eligible for the TWI-Institute’s Certified Train the Trainer course! Which is why we have included a Job Instruction coaching module as a second week of 1 hour per day coaching YOU as the newly certified trainer.  Your company’s training needs identified during the first week of training, are addressed immediately following the class.  That following Monday, trainers receive coaching as they deploy the 4-step method across your organization starting with the Training Timetable developed from the previous week’s training.
